How much time do I have to schedule for a consultation?

For new patients, 30 minutes is allocated for the consultation. This generally allows sufficient time to discuss the condition, perform an examination, and review any relevant investigations. In some instances, complex or multiple conditions require a longer consultation time of 45 minutes.

In most cases a second appointment or follow up appointment of 15 minutes is required to discuss outcomes of tests, additional aspects of your care or outcomes of surgery in more detail.

Bringing along a family member or friend can be very useful to help recall the information discussed. If anything remains unclear after the consultation or you have further questions, feel free to contact us and make an additional appointment to discuss your condition further.
